The Outsider

Author's Note: This short story is about a girl that feels like she doesn't belong. She feels like she shouldn't be here.

I was just walking down the hallway on a normal day of school. Everyone was staring at me I didn’t know why though. I didn’t do anything wrong I was just walking down the hallway. But then everyone started yelling at me why did you do that how could you even say that. Everyone was yelling at me I didn’t know what to do. I was stuck with no way out.

Later that night I texted my best friend. I told how at school everyone hates me for no reason I also told her how I felt like nothing for the first time. I felt left out I felt like an outsider like I didn’t belong.

The next day at school everyone was talking about what I did. But this time someone stood out above all the noise. I heard them say. “She didn’t even do anything. So would you just be quiet.” I knew she was talking about me. She stood up for me finally someone that knows that I didn’t do anything.

After that everyone started talking about other things. All because of the one girl that stood up for me. Then I went up to her and thanked her then after that we became friends and I wasn’t an outsider anymore I was me again.
