There are always those couple girls that stand out that think there better than everyone else. That's exactly what happens in Pretty Little Liars and The Clique. There's that one group of best friends that stand out and make sure that they do in every way. In ways these two books are the same but they are also completely different. In The Clique the girls fight a lot and there mean to lots of other people at the school, there really only popular because of all the students at the school having a fear of them. The Pretty Little Liars is about how a group of girls that used to be friends but spread apart because one of the other girls in the group Ali went missing. About a year after there friend went missing they all started to get notes from a person named A, at first they thought that it was there friend;Ali, that came back. But when they realized that they were all getting notes from A they noticed that they could all help each other.

In The Clique there are 4 people they all rule the school, they have the best clothes and they go to the best school. They never let anybody else talk to them except for when Claire moves into Massie's guest house at first Massie was mean to Claire, she pulled a whole bunch of pranks on her to make her look like a freak but when Massie is forced to get to learn more about her she realizes that they could actually be friends. Massie invites Claire to join her and the rest of the girls at lunch. When they got to lunch the other girls were very surprised since Massie doesn't like making new friends but once they get to know Claire better they end up liking her too. 

The Clique does have a lot in common with Pretty Little Liars but it also has a lot that's different. In Pretty Little Liarsthere is 5 girls that used to be best friends but now that one of the girls went missing so now there's only 4 of them left they all split up. But when they all start to get mysterious notes from a person that calls themselves A they all start to question if there friend really is dead. They all get the notes but they don't know that there all getting them into later in the book. When they find out that there all getting the notes from A they all form back into there group of friends and start to search for A. They search and they finally find some possible suspects but there never right. While on there search on finding A there still getting the notes and the notes just keep getting worse and worse. It's really hard for them to find out who A is just by the notes and the small clues that they get. 

Some things that are the same are that in Pretty Little Liars there's a lot of drama involving the notes that they get and what they cause to happen at school and at home but there is also lots of drama in The Clique, there is lots of drama in the group of friends when Claire comes they were all mean to her but then when they get to know her better they realize that they could actually become friends. But there's still a problem the popular girls; Massie, Alicia, Kristen and Dylan don't like that Claire still hangs out with people other than them, they get jealous and make Claire try to only hang out with them, when they try that it just causes more drama with all of them and causes them all to turn on each other.
