MIsunderstood

Author's Note: This is my point of view piece on the book Unbelievable. In this essay I will explain to you how the point of view of some people in the book effected what happened in the story.

In Unbelievable the effect that Hanna has on everybody since she was injured by getting hit by a car by a mysterious person. Since Hanna got hit by the car and then was put in to the hospital were she was almost dead Emily; one of Hanna's friends, was forced to go to live with her aunt, uncle and cousins. Aria another one of Hanna's friends is having lots of problems with her family because her parents are scared because they don't know if the person that hit Hanna is going to go after Aria next. Spencer is the only one that things are finally good for her she was nominated for a Golden Orchid award on an essay that she stole from her sister but when her sister finds out she doesn't get mad like she usually would. When Hanna got hit by the car it affected all of her friends in a good way or a bad way.

One way that Hanna's point of view affected the story was by thinking that when she finally did wake up not knowing anything that happened to her. Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna have been searching for A for a long time, A has been sending them text messages to them and to some of the other people telling them secrets about the girls that they didn't want anybody to know. A has been ruining there friendships with some people and making there family members ignore them. When Hanna got hit by the car they knew right away that it had to be A, since right before that Hanna texted Spencer, Aria and Emily a text that said meet me by the Rosewood Playground we need to talkbut when Aria, Spencer and Emily got there they saw a car speeding straight towards Hanna. They couldn't help Hanna since there were so far away from her and all they could do was call the ambulances and get her to the hospital as fast as they could.

The story is not only told in a way that might convince readers how some of the characters are but how they act to. Since most of the story was in Hanna's point of view but it also makes the reader think that most of her friends are usually mean, cruel and think about themselves instead of other people. Some of the story is also told in Spencer, Aria and Emily's point of view which then lets every main character in the story show what there really like. For example; Hanna's point of view might so Spencer as a show and someone that's extremely competitive, but Spencer's point might show that she's smart and that she always tries her hardest to be what she wants to be. Therefore the different point of views of the different characters is really important so they can show what the character is really like.

Interpretation is one thing that would change about the characters if they only had one point of view the whole story. The reader might then think that a character is mean and bossy but there really just misunderstood and nice. The way that the author wrote all the different point of views is a very important part of the story.

Unbelievable

Author's Note: This is my Cause and Effect piece on the book Unbelievable by Sara Shepherd it's part of the Pretty Little Liars series. This essay is mainly about one scene in the book, I did the essay on just one scene because this is the one scene that causes the rest of the plot to happen.

When Hanna was walking home from Mona's party she wasn't expecting to get hit by a car. Hanna was just walking to the playground by the Rosewood Elementary school when someone struck her with there car. There has been a mysterious person that calls themselves A that has been annoying them for quit a while now, sending the text messages and hurting the people that they love most without them actually knowing who it is. Hanna had just gotten into a fight with her friend Mona at one of her parties and she was running to the playground to meet her 3 best friends; Spencer, Aria and Emily there. When a person speed around the corner and ran right into her, while Aria, Spencer and Emily couldn't do anything except call for help.

First, the climax in the story was Hanna having a fight at Mona's party over Mona talking to two of Hanna and her enemies about there dad hiring a skywriter for another one of her parties. When Hanna found out that Mona was talking to people that she and Mona didn't like Hanna was furious. Ever since 7th grade when people made fun of Hanna calling her fat and ugly she's despised  them for bullying her for so long. Then when she found out that her best friend was replacing her it felt even worse than 7th grade, since Mona was the one that helped Hanna to change.

Then while Hanna was in the hospital with extreme pain and a possibility that she could die. Emily was shipped off to Ohio to live with her aunt, uncle and her 3 cousins. Aria was taking a art class at the same college that her dad's girlfriend Meredith who she doesn't like works at and then her partner in the art class is Jenna the girl that Allison, Hanna, Aria and Spencer accidentally turned blind when they were in 7th grade. Spencer is finally better after having to deal with a lot of drama between her and her sister there finally getting along, Spencer was also nominated for a Golden Orchid Award from an essay that she stole from her sister and when her sister finds out she's not bad at all and everything is finally peaceful between her and her sister and her and her parents.

The cause of Hanna being hit by the car was Hanna knowing something more about A; the anonymous person that keeps texting Hanna, Aria, Emily and Spencer, and A didn't what Hanna to tell Aria, Spencer and Emily so he or she decided to hit Hanna with a car instead so she couldn't tell them what she knew. The effect of A hitting Hanna with the car was Hanna when she finally got better not knowing what really happened to her and what happened before she was hit by the car. When Hanna was finally better and was able to talk again she completely forgot what happened before she was hit by the car all she remembered was the day before Mona's party which was the day when none of the drama was going on.

Aria, Spencer and Emily still found something new about A even though Hanna wasn't able to tell them anything since she was unconscious in the hospital. Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hanna have been searching for the person who's A for a long time and no matter what difficulties get in there way they always fight through any obstacles that got in there way, so even though Hanna was in the hospital Aria, Spencer and Emily still tried to find out who A is.

The Cold

Author's Note: Have you ever had a really weird feeling and no matter what happened it just wouldn't go away? Well that's what this town has to deal with most the time. This is just a short story about a little town in Minnesota that is cursed with a weird coldness and a weird fog.

It was a cold day here in Minnesota but it was a weird cold. Instead of it being cold like the weather it felt like a different type of cold, a cold full of sorrow, depression and weakness. Also like weather I knew that this cold wasn't going to go away. This cold is like a plague that takes over a town and stays there until it thinks the time is right to leave.

"Daddy I'm cold." Lexi told her dad as she was trembling in cold of the coldness that has taken over their whole town.

"I know sweetie but I promise that so everything will go back to normal." her dad tells Lexi as he tries to persuade her.

Even though Lexi's dad told her that everything was going to be normal again he really didn't think it would. The cold did just take over their town but this cold is different, it's been like this for weeks now and it has been the same temperature every single day. Lexi's dad knew that if it didn't go away soon more people are going to get sick. Lexi was already very sick and was get paler every day Lexi's dad knew that he had to do something, but he didn't know what he could possibly do to stop something that is caused by nature.

"Daddy when is it going to be warm again?" Lexi asked her dad, wanting more than anything for it to be sunny out again.

"Soon sweetie soon." Lexi's dad said wanting it to be warm again, too.

"Daddy can we watch TV?" Lexi asked her dad.

"Sure sweetie." he said grabbing the remote and turning on the TV.

Right when they turn on the TV it goes to the news channel. Everybody better be careful because now thanks to the cold there is also a thick layer of fog surrounding the city too, the weather reporter says as he reports outside next to a whole bunch of fog. He wasn't kidding though the fog really looked like it was a huge gray, dark wall just right next to him.

"Daddy why is the fog so dark?" Lexi asked her dad over by the window looking out the window but all she could she was gray.

"I don't sweetie, but we're staying in here. I wouldn't want you to get hurt." her dad said knowing that Lexi already knowing that Lexi knew that she was sick and she didn't want it to get any worse.

"I know daddy, I need to stay in here to get better." Lexi said to her dad crawling back into the bed to watch TV, Lexi then turned her attention back to the TV to watch the rest of the weather.

Right when the weather man on the TV was right about to finish the weather report, the TV went completely blank. But the weird thing was that just the weather man went off the TV the fog just that was standing next to kept closing and closing in on the screen until the screen was completely filled with the gray dark fog and then the TV went completely black with nothing on it just a blank screen right in front of Lexi and her dad.

"Daddy what happened?" Lexi asked her dad in total shock and fear.

"I don't know Lexi but I think I'll go down to the studio and see what's wrong." Lexi's dad said to her as he grabbed his coat and his car keys. "You stay here and take a nap I'll be back in a couple minutes." Lexi's dad said walking out the door and going to go see what is happening at the weather station.

Lexi laid down to take a nap, when she was right about to fall asleep Lexi heard a weird tapping noise at the window. She went over to the window to see what it was. But when she looked out the window all she saw was the gray darkness of the fog. So even though her dad told her not to go outside she went outside anyway she was just 4 years old and was curious about what made the tapping noise. was. When Lexi walked outside at first she was scared until she started thinking and she thought that the fog was kind of like snow. The fog was soft and cold but it was different than snow it seemed fluffier and  prettier. Lexi wasn't afraid of the fog anymore.

When Lexi's dad got home he noticed that the front door was open. That instantly scared him he knew that it was already hard enough to just go to the weather station even though it was just a block away and it would be almost impossible to try and find Lexi in all the fog.

"Help, help.' he heard someone shout from inside the fog, it sounded like Lexi.

"I'm coming sweetie." he said running into the fog and starting his search for Lexi.

When Lexi's dad was running for at least 10 minutes now he finally saw a silhouette of a person standing in front of him. Lexi's dad knew right away that it couldn't be Lexi because this person was much taller than Lexi is..

"Hello have you seen a little girl anywhere." he asked tapping on this person's shoulder.

"Um no I'm sorry sir I haven't."

Wait I know that voice. Lexi's dad asked as he tried to figure out who this person could be.

"Um do I know you?" Lexi's dad asked trying to figure out who this person is.

"I don't think you do?" The woman said in more of a question than a statement.

Just when she said that a image of Lexi's dad wife flashed right in front of him.

"Li-Lizzy" Lexi's dad stuttered shocked that his wife was alive since supposedly she died from cancer last year.

"How do you know my name?" Lizzy asked her husband as he embraced her in a hug.

"Your my wife, I thought you were dead." He said excited that she was alive.

"No I'm not dead and I missed you too Tyler." she said excited to see him too.

"Wait so what are you doing in this fog?" Tyler asked his wife confused and excited at the same time.

"So you know when you were gone on that work trip to California. I called to tell you that I was sick but I really wasn't the town was trapped in fog and the fog took me it took me away from you and Lexi. I couldn't get back out I was trapped in the fog with no way out." Lizzy said telling her story.

"Ok so you just got trapped in this fog for no reason and now you can't get back out?" Tyler asked his wife.

"Yep and where's Lexi?" she asked trying to change the topic since she hated the fog more than anything.

"Oh she's lost in the fog just like I was." Tyler said wanting to go back on his search to find Lexi.

"Ok let's go find her." Lizzy said taking Tyler's hand and leading them into the fog to go find there daughter.

"Daddy daddy." He heard someone shout and this time he knew for sure that it was Lexi.

"I'm coming." Tyler continued on his search to find Lexi.

"Daddy daddy." Tyler could Lexi louder which means that he must be getting even closer to Lexi.

"Daddy." Tyler could now hear Lexi so clear now that he knew that she was right in front of him.

Then Tyler could finally she Lexi right in front of him so he ran up to her and gave her a hug.

"Daddy who's that?" Lexi asked since she could she Lizzy standing next to him.

"This is mommy." Tyler said with Lexi a very surprised look on his face.

"Mommy?" Lexi was still so surprised that she finally found her mom again.

Right when she said that her mom walked out of the shadows and they could see her face clearly and Lexi could see her mom that she missed so much for so long. When she could finally see that it was her mom she went straight up to her mom and gave her a huge hug so glad that there family was finally together again.

"Hi sweetie I'm glad to see you too and now that I'm back where going to be able to spend a lot more time together." Lizzy said making it sound more like she hasn't been gone for such a long time.

"What do you mean?" Tyler asked since Lizzy just told him that she was  stuck in the fog.

"I mean that your now stuck in the fog with me, you've been here to long and now there's no way for you to get out and now your here for ever and ever and ever and ever-." Lizzy than repeated ever and ever for the end of eternity while Lexi and Tyler just stood there in fear and shock for the rest of there lives.
