Patriot's Pen Essay

Author's Note: This is my patriot's pen essay about how important the founding fathers are to America's history.

The founding fathers play a very important role in the history of the Untied States. They were political leaders who helped the country and made The United States better by signing the Declaration of Independence. If the founding fathers never signed the Declaration of Independence The United States would not be the way it was today, there would still be slaves and lowering the taxes and making it easier for all people to be equal. Some very important events occurred when not all people were equal some of the events were, The Boston Tea Party and The Civil War.

Some of the founding fathers that signed the Declaration of Independence caused these events to happen, a couple of the founding fathers didn't believe that all people are created equal and some of the founding fathers even had slaves. But when the Civil War occurred they changed there mind and let there slaves go and started to treat all people equal. This was very important because all the founding fathers helped in some way, they all stood up for what they believed in and made America what it is today. If they never were to stand up for what they believed in and changed their minds and treated all people equally The United States wouldn't be a very good place to live.

I would like to thank the founding fathers for never giving up on America and never stop being the strong leaders that they were. We will always remember what great heroes they were to are to us and how without them The United States wouldn’t be what it is today. How they always tried to find ways to make this country a better place to live, they always showed us how much they cared about this country and how they made sure every person equal.

Huntington Beach

Author's Note: This summer I went to California and it was really fun because we spent most of the time at the beach and how much fun my trip was.

Me and my family were in are rental car on are way to the beach. Are trip to Colorado was canceled because of all the wildfires so my mom and dad decided to take me and my sisters on a surprise trip to California.

I could feel the wind breezing through my hair the soothing noise of the waves crashing against the shore. I've been waiting for this moment for years to finally be able to be at the beach in California. Ever since in 3rd grade I did a project on California I have wanted to go there and now I was finally able to be at the beach and it was amazing.

When we finally got into the sand I could feel all the grains of sand in between my toes and my feet sinking into the sand. My family and I decided to make a fire in the pit nearest to the volleyball courts since we would be there most of the time. Well my parents were making the fire me and my sisters went over to the volleyball courts so we could already start playing. We were just messing around and falling in the sand getting all dirty but it didn't matter it was fun. When we were all done playing beach volleyball we went back over to the fire so we could watch the sunset.

The sunset was amazing, it was the prettiest thing I have ever seen. Me and my family watched the sun setting as it reflected against the water and made everything look pink and orange. It was so pretty that I never wanted to stop looking at it, but sadly I had to.

"Julianna we have to go." I heard my mom call from the car.

I sprinted to the car and hopped in. I didn't want to go but I knew that we had to but I also knew that we were going to back there again.
